San Diego County Gas Prices Rise for 8th Consecutive Day

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline increased seven-tenths of a cent to $3.80.

1. San Diego County Health and Human Services officials are looking for three boys in Vista who turned in a bat that may have exposed
them to rabies. The boys, believed to be white and around 12 or 13 years old, dropped off the bat last Sunday at the Petco store at 520 Hacienda Drive. County officials discovered it was rabid and are now worried about how much it was handled by the children. Rabies can be transferred to humans by bites or saliva that gets into someone's eyes, nose, mouth or an open wound. Symptoms can take weeks or months to develop. Anyone who knows the identity of the boys who turned in the bat is urged to contact county health officials at (619) 692-8499.

The organizations were among 278 nationally that will split $95 million of money authorized by the Affordable Care Act, which will help the recipients expand their clinics and services.
