Earthquake Rattles Baja California

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck Sunday night in Baja California.

1. Radiation experts and emergency workers from Los Angeles to the Mexican border will pretend that a major radioactive gas leak has occurred at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station starting Tuesday. The test is regularly-scheduled, but occurs as a major meltdown is threatened at an earthquake-crippled reactor complex in Japan.

2. A magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck Sunday night in Baja California, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake hit at 9 p.m. about 108 miles east southeast of Tijuana, Mexico. No damage or injuries were reported in the San Diego area, said San Diego police Sgt. Dino Delimitros.

3. It will be partly cloudy throughout the county Monday with light winds. Highs today will be 62 to 67 degrees along the coast,  64 to 69 in the valleys, 54 to 64 in the mountains and 74 to 79 in the deserts.
