President Obama to Make Campaign Stop in San Diego

Air Force One is scheduled to land at MCAS Miramar at 1:40 p.m.

1. President Barack Obama is bringing his re-election effort to San Diego Monday. Air Force One is scheduled to land at MCAS Miramar at 1:40 p.m. From there, the president is expected to head to a La Jolla home for a private fundraising event before returning to the air base so he can fly to Los Angeles for several other fundraisers. 2. San Diego Chargers players Philip Rivers and Quentin Jammer are going to be in Escondido Monday afternoon for a dedication ceremony involving foster children. The athletes are scheduled to dedicate a new football field dubbed the "Field of Hope." It has been built for students at San Pasqual Academy, which is a residential high school that serves foster children.

3. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell Monday for the 14th time in 15 days, dropping
a half-cent to $3.893. The average price is 5.3 cents less than one week ago but 13.9 cents more than one month ago and 90.3 cents higher than at this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
