Past-Due Property Taxes Face Late Fee
Almost 54,000 still owe property taxes in San Diego County.
1. Nearly 54,000 property owners in San Diego County have yet to pay their full property taxes this year. Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister says the past-due taxes amount to about 3 percent of the bills sent out by his office. Those who haven't paid face a 10 percent late fee and a $10 charge for a delinquency notice.
2. The San Diego County Taxpayers Association will hold its annual Golden Watchdogs and Golden Fleece awards dinner tonight at 7 p.m. at Town and Country Resort & Convention Center’s Golden Ballroom, 500 Hotel Circle N. in Mission Valley.
3. The NCAA men’s golf three-day regional, hosted by the University of San Diego, will get under way at The Farms Golf Club, 8500 St. Andrews Rd. in Rancho Santa Fe.
