Partly Cloudy Weather Expected Monday

Highs will be 63 to 68 in Poway.

1. One of the U.S. Coast Guard's oldest cutters will move into retirement Sunday after 44 years of service. The 378-foot high endurance cutter had its home port in San Diego, but sailed around the world, including to Alaska, Vietnam and Haiti during its service. The Hamilton's final deployment from November 2010 to February 2011 took it to the Bering Sea for fishery enforcement, navigation aids and search and rescue, according to a spokesperson.

2. Testimony will continue in trial of a lawsuit brought by a former girlfriend of ex-Padres outfielder Brian Giles. Cheri Olvera claims Giles abused her while she was pregnant, causing her to miscarry. Giles filed a countersuit against Olvera, claiming she abused him.

3. It will be partly cloudy throughout the county Monday with gusty winds in the mountains and deserts. Highs Monday will be 60 to 65 degrees along the coast, 63 to 68 in the valleys, 59 to 69 in the mountains and 76 to 81 in the deserts.
