Judge: MediBloom Can Stay Open

Local property owners had tried to get the clinic closed, saying it was in violation of their rules.

1. A medical marijuana dispensary can continue to operate in its leased space in Rancho Bernardo because its existence doesn't violate state law, a judge ruled Friday. Superior Court Judge John S. Meyer denied a request for a preliminary

2. A tower being erected by a helicopter toppled Friday in the second accident this week involving the Sunrise Powerlink transmission line under construction in Imperial Valley, San Diego Gas & Electric reported. As was the case with Monday's mishap, no one was injured.

3. Nearly 150 acres at three North County sites was bought by the San Diego Association of Governments to offset the environmental impacts of transportation improvements, the agency announced Friday. Two of the purchases were for land along the San Luis Rey River.
