TIME magazine on Wednesday announced that it had chosen President Barack Obama as its 2012 Person of the Year—the second time he has been awarded the distinction.
"For finding and forging a new majority, for turning weakness into opportunity and for seeking, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union, Barack Obama is TIME’s 2012 Person of the Year," reads the POY introduction explaining the choice.
"We are in the midst of historic cultural and demographic changes, and Obama is both the symbol and in some ways the architect of this new America."
In November, 52.73 percent of San Diego County voters picked the Obama/Biden ticket to lead the country, down slightly from the 53.95 percent who picked the pair in 2008 when Obama also was TIME's Person of the Year.
So, what do you think? Did TIME make the right choice by picking Obama again?
