Monday is the official work holiday for the new year, so government offices and facilities will be closed.
City of Poway offices, county of San Diego offices, libraries and animal facilities will be closed, but parks will be open. Community centers and teen centers on park properties will shut down for the day.

Most Metropolitan Transit System buses and trolleys will operate on a Saturday schedule. There will be no rural bus service. Details are available at sdmts.com.
Four Found Dead in Coronado

Four people were found dead Sunday at a downtown Coronado condominium, where gunfire broke out just over two hours into the New Year, officials said.
A 911 call was placed from a mobile phone about 2:20 a.m. to report shots had been fired at a three-condo structure at 1020 Park Place, according to San Diego Sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit.

Scooter Crash
A 44-year-old Encinitas man faces drunken driving charges and the loss of part of his leg after driving his scooter, possibly without its lights, on a street in Fallbrook on New Year's Eve.
Bradley Mills was driving a 2002 Vespa scooter, possibly without any lights on, south on Gird Road approaching Caballo Lane at an unknown speed about 5:24 p.m. Saturday, according to CHP Officer Jim Bettencourt.
