Gas Prices Fall for 31st Consecutive Day

The average price is 4.9 cents less than one week ago.

1. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell Monday for the 31st consecutive day, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.969, the lowest since March 11. The average price is 4.9 cents less than one week ago and 31 cents lower than one month ago but 90.2 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

2. San Diego's foreign trade zone has been extended into Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula, and the Riverside County Office of Foreign Trade announced success in its years-long effort to establish foreign trade zones in the county. Riverside County foreign trade officials and the San Diego mayor's office got the green light for foreign trade zones to be set up in a as part of the existing San Diego foreign trade zone, Riverside County Foreign Trade Commissioner Tom Freeman said.

3. A woman suffered internal injuries when she drove her car crashed into a tree in Rancho Bernardo, police said. The woman was eastbound in the 12100 block of Rancho Bernardo Road about 1 a.m. on Sunday when she lost control of the BMW she was driving, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.
