Forecasters Say Another Storm Will Move Into San Diego County Thursday

The storm is expected to last until Friday.

Another in a series of early spring storms is expected to arrive late Thursday night.

The impending storm will bring showers and gusty winds into Friday, and will be the third unsettled front out of the Gulf of Alaska to strike this week, according to the National Weather Service.

A stronger storm dropped more than an inch of rain across most parts of San Diego County Sunday and Monday, while the storm system that struck Wednesday night brought only mild rains and a bit more high-mountain snow.

Though milder than the storm that struck Sunday, Wednesday's system wreaked havoc on at least a stretch of Carmel Mountain Road where it was closed due to 18 inches of rain, according to San Diego police Sgt. David Jennings.

The series of storm was expected to conclude with a fourth round of rain and mountains snow Saturday night, the Weather Service advised.
