Chargers Stadium Proposals Expand to Include Entertainment Center

Proposals for a new home for the San Diego Chargers are expanding to include an entertainment and convention center complex in the city of San Diego, the team's point man for stadium development said Monday. 2. A San Diego judge has ruled that civil commitments do not violate a sexually violent predator's constitutional right to equal protection and that sexually violent predators can be held under indeterminate or indefinite sentences. The ruling announced yesterday, brings California's sexually violent predator laws in line with sexually violent predator civil commitments across the nation.

3. The rate of immunizations among children in San Diego County climbed from 60 percent in 1991 to 86 percent in 2009, the last year figures are available, the county Health and Human Services Agency announced Monday. The agency released the statistic—which covers vaccinations for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella—amid a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the San Diego County Immunization Coalition.
