Body Found at Mission Trails Identified

Identified as a 33-year-old San Diego man, few details have emerged about the death.

1. A San Diego man whose body was found by a hiker in Mission Trails Regional Park has been identified Saturday, but what caused his death remained unknown, authorities said. The body of 33-year-old Jeffery Martin Andrews was discovered Wednesday on a mountainside near the 8300 block of Father Junipero Serra Trail, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office reported. 2. Sheriff's deputies arrested 22 wanted fugitives Saturday in a warrant sweep in San Marcos and surrounding areas, the San Diego Sheriff's Department announced. In addition to the warrant arrests, deputies also arrested a man on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Joel Wigand.

3. San Diego county residents will have a chance Sunday to include pets in their disaster preparations, in light of the massive power outage which left millions without electricity, county officials said. The county's Department of Animal Services will host a pet microchipping
clinic set to begin at noon at its shelter at 5480 Gaines St. in San Diego in which pet owners can have dogs, cats and bunnies microchipped for a one-time fee of $20. The cost includes registration; and can get dogs and cats vaccinated for rabies for $6.
