Black Friday Surprisingly Calm as Shoppers Seek Deals

Extended shopping hours result in fewer lines and less overcrowding in lots around San Diego County.

It seems that with most retailers opening their doors earlier, including on Thanksgiving night, the holiday-season madness known as Black Friday has not caused the usual wall of shoopers and jammed parking lots around San Diego County.

Oh, there are crowds aplenty, but with the extended hours many stores have decided to go to, and with a longer shopping season with Thanksgiving coming so early in the month, it might not be such a zoo this time around.

Was shopping in the afternoon on Black Friday and today. I have never seen so many shoppers. People must have loads of money to spend! Good for the economy.
