Bark at the Park and Band Festival Jazzes Up Weekend Events

EROICA TRIO

• What’s up: Poway Center for the Performing Arts will welcome the Grammy nominated group, Eroica Trio. The group will feature ensemble music with violinist Sara Perkins, cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio and pianist Erika Nickrenz.
• When: 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
• Where: Poway Center for the Performing Arts, 15498 Espola Road, Poway
• Price: $10-$40.

• What’s Up: The two-day event will honor the Armed Forces and feature community bands from San Diego and Arizona.
• When: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 19.

• What’s Up: The Friends of the Poway Library will host a summer  book sale. Proceeds will benefit the library's programs.
• When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
• Where: Poway Branch Library, 13137 County Highway S4, Poway.

• What’s Up: Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church will host the Paul Holtz Jazz Quartet. The trio has a repertoire of jazz standards, latin jazz, ballads, blues, show tunes, modern jazz and swing hits

• What’s Up: Poway Symphony Concert will the last concert of the season featuring pianist Chetan Tierra. He will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 2.
