Author Will Talk About ‘Dead Reckoning’ at Poway Library

1. Author Caitlin Rother will discuss and sign her book, Dead Reckoning, about the violent deaths of an Orange County couple at the at 2 p.m. This will be a free event.

2. The Miss Teen California-World pageant, part of the Miss Teen World Program, will be held at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido at 6 p.m. The junior pageant will also take place. Both winners will go on to represent California at the Miss Teen United States-World & Junior Miss United States-World pageants in Houston.

3. County Supervisor Ron Roberts will host the 12th annual lawnmower trade-in day. People can turn in their old gas-powered mowers and purchase a new battery-powered one for $99.99, about a quarter of the regular purchase price. County Administration Center, north parking lot, 1600 Pacific Highway.
