275 Sailors to Return Home Monday

1. It's homecoming day in Coronado for about 275 sailors stationed at Naval Air Station North Island. The returning sailors are part of the Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron, which deployed six months ago. Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadrons were formed in the wake of the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole.

2. A Delta Airlines flight from Detroit to San Diego made a three-hour-plus unplanned layover in Albuquerque Sunday so FBI agents could investigate a note with the word "bomb'' on it. Flight 1706 diverted to Sunport International Airport just before 10 a.m. San Diego time, FBI spokesman Frank A. Fisher said in Albuquerque.

3. It will be partly cloudy throughout the county Sunday with a chance of rain and gusty afternoon winds. Highs will be 54 to 59 in Poway.
