Souplantation Scopes Poway for Potential Location

The chain said it is looking at "The City in the Country" as a possible site for another restaurant.

Powegians may soon have some sweeter than sweet tomatoes news—Souplantation is considering Poway for a potential location.

The salad chain restaurant, which has its corporate office in the city of San Diego and 12 locations in the region, said it has not signed a lease but is "in the reviewing process," according to spokesperson Tracy Marks.

Marks said Powegians can keep up-to-date with possible openings at Souplantation.com. Until then, Rancho Bernardo's remains the closest to Poway.

What a great idea for Souplantation to open in Poway! We need something like that on the East End of Poway Road. Then they would pull in Ramona folks and Lakeside too! I can hardly wait!

Betcha it's the business park. There isn't any room on the east end of Poway Rd. We have car lots. Lots and lots of car lots.... Souplantation typically needs quite a bit of square footage - I've never seen a "small" Souplantation plus parking. This really limits their options in Poway unless they build something. The old Spires restaurant might hold them or they would have to start blowing out walls over by L.A. Fitness to create the square footage needed. It would be interesting to know where they're looking.

How about the old Dixieline shopping center, you have the "le peep" spot and dixieline. And there's a restaurant pad in the sw corner of where Lowes is going that hasn't been claimed yet.

I totally agree with you Joe. I would go to Souplantation at least once a week.
