Gas Prices Slide on a Six-Day Drop

The falling prices follow a 16-day streak of rising prices.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Tuesday for the sixth consecutive day, falling four-tenths of a cent to $3.985.

The average price is 4.5 cents less than one week ago and 13.6 cents lower than one year ago, but 14.1 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The falling prices follow a 16-day streak of rising prices.

The cheapest gas in Poway is $3.77 per gallon at several stations, including Costco.

The dropping prices are the result of a resolution of supply issues that had caused the latest increases in prices, according to Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
