Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide for Everyone in Your Life

December 25 is just over a week away. If you haven't already found that perfect gift for that family member or spouse, we have a few recommendations you might be interested in.

Every year, holiday shopping becomes more of a challenge. There are countless new toys and gadgets on the market, and finding a gift that's just right can be daunting.   We here at Patch realize that not everyone has time to do hours of research, so we thought we'd lend a hand.

It wasn't our intention to suggest two very similar toys by the same manufacturer for gift recommendations for younger siblings, but Top Toys Blog found each of the Uncle Milton's toys among this year's best-sellers for 5- to 8-year-olds. The built-in light sensor will auto illuminate the moon/rainbow when the room gets dark, which is a surefire smile getter. Uses four AAA batteries (not included).

Brother (teen): Dead Rising 2 (Xbox 360). You really can't go wrong with video games, and this one has everything a teenage brother could want. The game concept is simple—one man fights diligently for survival against a swarming horde of zombies. All in all, the game is completely awesome.

Sister (teen): Design-your-own Chuck Taylor All Stars. Not to be cliché, but if we're pitching video games for the boys, it's not surprising that we're suggesting shoes for girls. But these aren't just any shoes—they're custom Chucks. She'll pick the style, the color(s), the heal stripe, and pretty much every feature the shoe has to offer. Not only will she have fun designing her custom Chucks, she'll be assured that she'll be the only one in school who owns that pair.

Son: Space Camp.  Not only is this one of the coolest camps in the country, it's educational, which is an added bonus. Space Camp is available for fourth grade through high school age students, and teaches kids what it's like to be an astronaut.  There are shuttle simulators, moon walk simulators, and a myriad of shuttle and aviation missions to choose from.

Daughter: Swarovski crystal cell phone. For those of you old enough to remember the unfortunate "bedazzle" fad, Swarovski crystals take that to a whole new level. Her phone can be customized to her liking, and as posh, or ridiculous, as she chooses. This is a great gift idea for your teenage girly girl.

Mom: A day at Bella D'ora Spa.  Mom works hard all year, so we're fairly certain she'll enjoy a little pampering.  Bella D'ora received the 2009 North County Times Readers Choice Award and was ranked the No. 2 spa in San Diego County by Health & Beauty Magazine. Services range from nail appointments to massage packages to full body treatments.

Dad:  A day of golf at Torrey Pines. There's good reason that a number of pro-golf tournaments are held at this course. Not only does it have views of the ocean, it's world-renown. Tee-times can be booked up to 90 days in advance, or if you're uncertain as to Dad's availability, golf gift certificates are available as well.

Girlfriend: Juicy Coutre or Coach purse. There are two things in the world that women love more than anything—purses and shoes. Both Juicy and Coach have a vast selection of bags, wallets and wristlets, so you'll have plenty of options to choose from.

Boyfriend: PS3 with built-in Blu-ray player. This can be viewed as a dual gift. He gets to play video games on one of the sexiest gaming systems on the market, and you can use the Blu-ray player to watch chick flicks. A gaming system is great for guys of all ages because nothing quite says "I love you" like video games.

Husband: Golf lessons. Experienced golf instructor and PGA professional Michael Major is for hire and is experienced in teaching people of all ages. His instruction packages can be customized to meet the specific needs of most any golfer, and he can work with your husband's busy schedule. Golf enthusiasts generally enjoy the game for life, and the coaching could help improve his game for years to come.

Wife: Paloma's X earrings. Surprise your beloved with a tiny blue box this Christmas, with these 18k white gold diamond crusted earrings from Tiffany's.  They're timeless, they're classic, and she'll love them for life.

Grandmother: Sculpted jewelry tree. Each branch of this unique tree has a place to hang necklaces, bracelets, rings, you name it. It also has a solid wood base to store other smaller items. This is a gift she'll be able to enjoy throughout the year.

Grandfather: Photo cuff links. This gift idea is a bit unique because it combines classy accessory with personalization. Both black and white and color photo options are available, and the finished product will ship within five to seven business days.
