Entrench yourself in American history at Hobo Campfire on Friday, Sept. 14.
The park will revamp its turf to give Powegians a dose of fronitier living.
Recreation Supervisor David Richards said volunteers will dress in themed costumes, sing classic tunes and make s’mores for the estimated 300 people in attendance.
“We’re looking to strengthen and enhance the theme of what life would’ve looked liked 100-150 years ago,” he said.
Storyteller Charles Johnson, who is at the park every Thursday, will also be available.
