It’s a Weekend of Concerts, Camping and Italian Masquerades

Your Patch guide to weekend happiness.

The weekend’s almost in reach—do you have your days off planned out? Don’t worry, we have a list of the weekend’s best bets right here for you (and we don’t really expect you to have plans—it’s the weekend! Let loose!)

This weekend, Aug. 12-14, stay in Poway for plenty of fun and feel-good activities. Watch local talent duke it out on stage for some serious cash, take the whole family camping at a neighborhood campout and enjoy a couple of concerts on the house.

If you’re feeling up to a little road trip, Ramona has some wine tasting opportunities, there’s a workshop to avoid home foreclosure nearby or you can go see Jimmy Eat World in concert at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. You can also be Italian for the day at a masquerade party in Little Italy.

Whatever you do this weekend, have fun. And don’t forget to try to catch the Perseid meteor shower, which will peak Saturday night, but might be hard to find because of the bright moon.
