Twenty of the most talented students in the area are scheduled to compete for the top prize of $500. Last year’s first and second place winners, Matt Billman and Kristi Krause, open the show with three vocal numbers. Talent categories include singing, instrumental, drama or dance.

The mission of the Spirit of the Fourth Committee, sponsor of RB Idol, is to provide Rancho Bernardo and surrounding communities with patriotic, historical and educational activities that commemorate the declaration of our nation’s independence; to foster true patriotism and appreciation of our American Heritage, and to demonstrate openly the principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
