California Ballet Company presents three performances of the Christmas classic, The Nutcracker. The production stars international artist Raydel Caceres and the company's principal dancers, Cassandra Lund, Vitaliy Nechay and Chie Kudo.
The ballet tells the story of Clara, a girl who receives a beautiful nutcracker as a gift on Christmas Eve. After a lavish party, Clara sneaks downstairs and falls asleep under the Christmas tree cradling her gift and dreaming of the Nutcracker Prince in a battle with the Mouse King. One of the ballet's highlights is "The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies."
Patrons are invited to meet the cast at a Sugar Plum Party in the lobby following the matinee performances.

The production is recommended for ages 3 and older. All patrons must have a ticket, including babies.
Performances are at 2:30 and 7 p.m. Dec. 11 and 1 p.m. Dec. 12.
