Clint Black Concert Nearly Sold Out at Poway Center for the Performing Arts

In addition to sharing his music, Clint Black will be sharing stories in what is expected to be a very intimate performance.

Only 31 tickets remain for the Clint Black concert hosted by the Poway Center for the Performing Arts—a show that will kick of a series of performances for the theatre’s winter and spring season.

The acoustic performance is expected to run about two hours, and will feature Black along with two backup musicians.

“Rather than the big arena setup, it’s going to be very intimate,” said Yvonne Dows, marketing manager for the Center’s Foundation. “It’s the perfect show for our theatre. [Black is] going to be up front and center.”

Dows hasn’t had the opportunity to speak with Black yet, but she said she’s started following him on Twitter.

“He just seems like a real accessible guy,” Dows said. “I look forward to meeting him.”

In addition to his performing music, which is expected to include songs from his upcoming album, Black will pause to share stories with those in attendance at the 800-seat theatre, Dows said.

Black will be passing through Poway on a tour that includes Arizona and several cities throughout southern California.

The performance begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18. For more information, or to purchase tickets, click here.
