Take Your Kids to a Music Extravaganza

Your kid-friendly guide to getting out-and-about town.

Each week, we'll give you the lowdown on five great upcoming family activities or events.

If you suffered through the rain the past two weekends, take heart, dear souls. The sun is back again from March 2-8, and there's more than enough to do outdoors to make up for lost time.

Your choices, near Poway and in San Diego, include a nearly week-long display of local student musical talent, a regatta on the bay and a big day in Ocean Beach, where a new fair is taking place alongside the tried-and-true Kite Festival.
