“I’m simply proud to be able to show by example to my two children how to be an upstanding citizen by helping others through volunteer work and group efforts,” she said.

Radunsky, whose children are home-schooled, has also organized “group home-schooling classes” to help other families.

She finds her inspiration from her grandmother.

“I admire many, many women, but one women who first comes to mind is my Grandma Maclovia,” she said. “She was a strong woman in both body and spirit, and who, despite living in poverty, raised 10 children, most of whom have become well-educated and successful.

“Though she gave tirelessly of herself each day, she found time for her poetry which beautifully spoke of integrity, compassion, pride, and love. She is an inspiration to me.”
