Sara Peelle in Business for Long Run, Hits the Road for Community

Prime Poway Woman No. 20 is a marathon runner, mom, volunteer and business owner.

Local mom Sara Peelle found a way to open her own business while providing support to the community.

Peelle, who has lived in Poway for eight years, is the owner of Xtend Barre Scripps Poway and Xtend Barre Beaverton in Oregon. Her business, which she co-owns with fellow Prime Poway Woman Angie Nobile, has supported organizations like Chelsea’s Light Foundation and Poway Little League.

She also volunteers at Midland Elementary School.

Peelle, who looks up to her business partner Nobile, said her biggest accomplishment is qualifying for the famed Boston Marathon.

“I am a marathon runner, and to run Boston had always been a dream of mine,” she said. “It was a great feeling crossing the finish line!”

“Women’s History month is an important month to honor all of our women and where we are today in society. As a female business owner, I want to honor all of our women throughout history that have gotten us to where we are today.”
