Privileged to Help Poway, Jane Radatz Gives Back to Seniors, Children

Prime Poway Woman No. 4 leads the popular Seniors Helping Our Kids organization.

Jane Radatz is a familiar name among Poway’s seniors and children.

She leads Seniors Helping Our Kids—more than 200 retirees who volunteer in the Poway Unified schools, most as reading tutors but others in different capacities helping children.

With The Backyard Produce Project, she’s involved with more than 100 volunteers who harvest, collect and grow fruits and vegetables, donating to local families in need.

“I’m proud of the combined accomplishments of the volunteers [we] work with,” she said. “I enjoy seeing how each person may feel he or she is doing only a little, but when combined with others, the impact is major.”
