KW Agents Taking a Day Off Work to Help the Troops

Keller Williams employees will spend May 10 packing and shipping packages to troops in Afghanistan. Volunteers and sponsors are needed.

Thursday, May 10, is the fourth annual Red Day in Poway. That’s Renew, Energize and Donate. It’s the day Keller Williams Realty closes the office so agents can spend the day giving back and volunteering to make a difference in the community.

This year they have selected Operation America Cares, the non-profit organization that collects, assembles and ships packages to our troops in Afghanistan. The packages typically include comfort items, snacks, pieces of entertainment, hygiene products and letters of encouragement. Keller Williams’ goal is to send 500 boxes.

The packing event will take place between 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 13219 Poway Rd. Members of local and state government will be on hand, including Poway Mayor Don Higginson.
