It's Halloween and Blue Sky Reserve Gives a Hoot

Take the kids to Blue Sky Ecological Reserve for a fun Halloween activity.

The Blue Sky Ecological Reserve gives a hoot about Poway and this weekend, they’re proving it.

Residents can visit the park after dark for a one-mile adventure filled with up-close meetings of “wildlife” (rangers dressed as critters), spooky canyons and family fun. takes kids an hour-long adventure through the trails of the reserve. Kids are encourage to wear their costumes as they brave the trails.

Each child will be handed a glow necklace for the tour and small groups will leave every fifteen minutes to start the haunted journey. At the end of the adventure, kids will get to sip on hot chocolate and talk about what they saw.

This is a great family-friendly Halloween activity (a whole week early!) so dress your kids up in their costumes and visit the this Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. The last group will head out on the trail at 8 p.m.

Cost is $5 per person, but space is limited so make sure you reserve a spot for you and your child by calling 858-668-4781. A free shuttle will take you to and from Lake Poway, where parking will be available. Happy trails!
