Historic Night for the Humane Society

The annual Tails At Twilight Gala raised more than $150,000 for the Escondido Humane Society.

Congratulations to the Escondido Humane Society on a very successful Tails At Twilight Gala, held Nov. 13 at Vintana in Escondido. The EHS raised the most money in the event’s 19-year history. Nearly 300 attendees raised more than $150,000 in support of the 630 animals currently at the shelter, as well as for thousands more expected in the coming year.

All guests enjoyed a hosted bar of wine and beer, dinner and entertainment by Stage 4 Jazz and R&B. Channel 6’s Heather Myers emceed the event and Cheryl Parker presided over the silent auction. Del Mar resident Dr. David Zanders received the Humane Hero Award for his outstanding civic and charitable responsibility through volunteer time and direct financial support of the EHS and animal community at large.
