Halloween Forecast Not So Frightening

Mostly clear skies and cool temperatures will greet trick-or-treaters.

The day that many a kid looks forward to all year is here, when neighborhood streets teem with kids seeking treats. Unlike many communities on the East Coast where the weather has played a mean trick on the holiday, Poway’s Halloween will be anything but haunted.

The National Weather Service forecast for Poway:

Today: Mostly clear skies, with a high near 73. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 53. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northwest in the evening.

Thursday: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday night: A chance of drizzle after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the evening.

Friday: A chance of drizzle before 11am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 72. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the morning.

Friday night: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.
