Registration begins at sunrise, with fishing until noon. Barbecue will be provided by El Cajon Ford and awards and prizes will be presented at 1 p.m. There will also be raffles.
The lake will be stocked with 2,000 pounds of rainbow trout for the annual free event.
Camping is available the day before. Families can start setting up their campsites at 7 a.m. Feb. 4. Cost is $15 per car for residents, $20 per car non-residents. Alcohol is not permitted on the grounds, families must provide their own camping gear and food. Barbecues are available, or you can bring your own.

A seminar for derby participants will be held at 4 p.m. Feb. 4 to give fishing advice and tips on how to win the derby.
