Early-Morning Earthquake Rattles San Diego County

The earthquake hit five miles southeast of Temecula around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

A 3.6-magnitude earthquake five miles southeast of Temecula struck around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, shaking parts of San Diego County as far away as La Jolla.

Some residents of Poway may have felt weak shaking, but most probably missed it, according to a United States Geological Survey ShakeMap.
