Celebrate Christmas in the Park

Old Poway Park is having a Christmas celebration for families on Saturday.

This weekend, Powegians can experience  with a day of holiday hoopla and hayrides.

The city of Poway is hosting a family fun-filled night on Saturday at . Residents can visit the park throughout the day, where there will be activities for everyone. There will be vendor booths set up that will offer up unique and creative holiday gifts for loved ones that you can browse through while the kiddos stay busy with their own activities. 

The Poway Fire Department is bringing in their ladder truck for young ones to ooh and awe at. The firemen will also be conducting a boot drive to benefit the Burn Institute’s “Camp Beyond Scars,” a camp for burn-injured children.

Families can take an old-fashioned hay ride and stop inside a shop or two for a holiday snack. The Christmas classic The Night Before Christmas will be set up as a story book window that visitors can read and the night will culiminate with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Ready to celebrate the holidays with your family? Visit at Old Poway Park on Saturday from 3:30-8:30 p.m. and have a holly, jolly good time.
