At 26, Tess Radmill is actively involved in all things involving the improvement of the city of Encinitas.
A program manager for Cardiff 101 Main Street and the marketing coordinator for Downtown Encinitas Main Street Association, Radmill said she is inspired daily by the volunteers she meets that have similar passions to improve their communities.
"The volunteers who I work with at Cardiff 101 Main Street inspire me on a daily basis," she said. "These individuals work full time, but believe so passionately in giving back to the community that they dedicate a tremendous amount of energy, time and care to make our organization successful. I hope that one day I will be in the position to serve the community as well as they have."
Radmill, who supports a number of nonprofits in the region, said she hopes to continue to see her organizations grow.
Advice for young people:
"Start getting involved in your community with local government or local causes and take the time to volunteer at an event or on a city committee. This will connect you to opportunities, events and people in leadership positions."
