Free Service Dog Educational Presentations

Tender Loving Canines Assistance Dogs is proud to be hosting Kristin Hartness, Executive Director of Canines for Disabled Kids, to offer free community Service Dog educational presentations on Service Dog law particularly with children. Canines for Disabled Kids is non-profit organization that promotes Service Dog advocacy and supports the creation of the child-canine service teams to promote independence and social awareness.

The following presentations will be offered to the community and take place at our training facility, The Spirit Center, Home of TLCAD, located at 1250 Activity Drive, Suite A, Vista, CA 92081.

  • August 6th: 11:00am-12:00pm- Service Dogs in Schools: This presentation is intended for families and educators and will cover topics related to when Service Dogs must be allowed in schools and when they cannot be.
  • August 6th: 1:00-2:00pm- Service Dog Law: This presentation is intended for those members of the community who would like to learn more about Service Dog laws, what they say, what is held in practice and what you should be able to defend in court if you needed to.
  • August 7th: 6:00-7:00pm- Service Dog Law: This presentation is intended for those members of the community who would like to learn more about Service Dog laws, what they say, what is held in practice and what you should be able to defend in court if you needed to.
  • August 7th: 7:30-8:30pm- Service Dog Public Access Rights: This presentation is intended for those members of the community who would like to learn more about public access rights of Service Dogs – what legally can be asked and what cannot, where and how to direct concerns, and how to be prepared for Service Dogs during emergencies.
