Come join us for an adventure under the stars this summer! The City of Poway Community Services Department is proud to offer three Family Campouts at Lake Poway. This is the perfect experience for first-time campers. Activities will include boating, night hikes and an interpretive presentation by Blue Sky Ecological staff. Gather around the campfire and enjoy delicious S’mores before settling in for the night. Wake up to the sounds of birds, the smell of fresh coffee and a continental breakfast. Families should bring a tent, camping equipment and food to barbecue. We will provide grills and charcoal. For those who would like to try out their fishing skills, the Lake Poway Concession offers fishing permits at a reasonable price.
The Family Campouts run from 5:00 p.m. on Saturday to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, on the following weekends: June 18 ‒ June 19; July 16 ‒ July 17; and August 13 ‒ August 14.
