Poway Man Killed in SR 67 Crash

Alexander Antonio Sebastiano, 20, was one of four people that were killed in the Friday-morning crash, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

A 20-year-old Poway man died after a head-on collision on state Route 67 Friday morning. Alexander Antonio Sebastiano died at the scene, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Sebastiano was the driver of a Chevy Silverado that was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. The truck travelled across the double-yellow line and into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Toyota Camry.

The driver and passenger in the Camry were also killed. According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, the driver was a 78-year-old man and the passenger a 74-year-old female who were both wearing seatbelts. They were pronounced dead at the scene without medical intervention.

A 34-year-old man from San Diego riding in the Silverado was also killed.

A third vehicle was involved in the collision. A Ramona woman, 24-year-old Nicole Pinning, was driving a Toyota Corolla with a 5-year-old female passenger, according to the CHP. They were taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

A third passenger in the Silverado survived, a female passenger in the rear of the truck. She was taken to a hospital with unknown internal injuries, according to the CHP.
