 “During the off-season, we reevaluated our program,” said Scott Ludwin, PGSL president. “We will focus on the core softball skills of fielding, throwing, batting, and base running to ensure that every player achieves a basic level of competency in all areas.”

Spring 2013 Recreation Softball Season

PGSL will accept registrations for the Spring 2013 Recreation League starting Nov. 1. Players ages 5-14 are welcome. No experience needed. Season runs from late February through early May. To register, visit www.pgsl.org or email playeragent@pgsl.org

Founded in 1967, the Poway Girls Softball League provides an opportunity for girls ages 5 through 14 to play fast-pitch softball in a fun, inspiring and supportive environment. PGSL ensures all players enjoy their experience no matter their softball experience level.

The league offers a spring recreation season (from late February through late April) and a winter-ball season (from early September through early November).

Players who are new to softball are provided extensive instruction and skill development throughout the year. Players who are more serious about softball are provided the opportunity to discover their full potential through a competitive summer all-star program (from May through July).
