Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Alpine) announced Monday that he will host another community job fair, in partnership with the East and North County career centers, and the San Diego North and Poway chambers of commerce. The event will be on Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the auditorium at Poway Community Park.
“From one job fair to the next, the number of individual success stories have steadily increased and more positive experiences are anticipated for the next job fair,” Hunter stated in a news release. “These events provide a great opportunity for employers and job seekers. We’re expecting another big turnout among local businesses—all with their sights set on meeting motivated candidates to fill a variety of positions.”
Poway Community Park is at 13094 Civic Center Drive, Poway.
Additional information is available by contacting Hunter’s El Cajon office at 619-448-5201.

If that were true, companies would never show up at job fairs.

One could guess, but people been learning to play lead guitar for decades to become a rock star to no avail....I have been a "Booth" at job fairs and still have no numbers. I guess it is like gold mining or star search. Nay sayers say that it is political posturing and PR on the employers part.? I myself get excited at job fairs, it is like stimulating to see the opportunities and careers out there. Some even look fun...to me. The nay sayers name starts with an M.
