Poway boasts the largest flyball team in the state.  Amazing, right?  Now, what is flyball?  

It's a sport starring man's best friend.  Preferably those built for speed with an obsession for tennis balls who enjoy being part of a team.  Teams of four run relay races  against each other and the clock.  Some dogs get it, some dogs don't.

"It's fast, loud and furious," Karen Leopold said. "It's very controlled chaos."  She and Riley have been members of Fast Fourward Flyball for six years.  New members are welcome.

The team practices every Wednesday evening at Poway's Dog Park from 7:30 to 9:00
