After thriving for 20 years in Poway as Sunshine Hair Design, owner Tina Moretti-Plunkett found partner Christy Martin to further its success by making it Poway Premium Partner-winner Sunshine Hair Design & Day Spa.

The business, which has served Poway for about 10 years, has thrived because of its relationship with customers.

“Over the years, we have stressed the importance of developing and maintaining a strong relationship with our customers,” said Martin who grew up in Poway. “Through excellent communication and continuing education, our customers are confident in the services that we provide. Because of this, our business has faired pretty well during the recession.”

Martin said business owners looking to find the same success need to follow a few guidelines.

“Treat your customers with honesty and respect,” she said, adding to “be humble and gracious.”
